On Monday, January 2, you may not be able to access some businesses and services in Mississauga.

Here are the businesses that are open and closed on January 2:

Closed:

  • Government offices
  • Banks
  • Libraries
  • Some Community Centres
  • Federal Government
  • City Hall
  • No mail delivery
  • Garbage and recycling will be collected one day later

What’s Open and Closed in Brampton on Jan. 2

Open:

  • Square One Shopping Centre – 9am to 10pm
  • Erin Mills Town Centre – 9:30am to 9:30pm
  • Heartland Town Centre (regular hours for the most part)
  • Dixie Value Mall – 10am to 9pm
  • All major grocery stores 
  • Celebration Square Ice Rink
  • Shoppers Drug Mart locations
  • Mississauga Chinese Centre
  • Movie theatres
  • LCBO
  • The Beer Store
  • Wine Rack

Other major malls that are open:

  • Bramalea City Centre (10am-9pm) 
  • Vaughan Mills (10am-9pm) 
  • Eaton Centre (9am-9:30pm) 
  • Yorkdale (9:30am-9:30pm)
  • Sherway Gardens (9am-10pm)
  • Toronto Premium Outlets (10am-9pm)
  • Pacific Mall (11am-8pm)

Transit: 

  • Mississauga Transit will operate on a regular schedule without secondary school service 
  • GO Transit will run on a Sunday schedule
