Anyone who is eligible may walk right in for a dose of Pfizer vaccine at Misissauga’s mass vaccination clinic on Friday (July 16).

Peel Public Health says it will be accepting walk-ins for anyone age 12 and over from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., and from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., at the clinic which has been set up at the Paramount Fine Foods Centre (5500 Rose Cherry Pl.).

Pfizer is the only vaccine approved for youths age 12 to 17. The public health unit has also decided to allow people to pick which brand of COVID-19 vaccine they want to receive for their second dose, meaning people whose first dose was Pfizer can book appointments tomorrow specifically to receive Pfizer. The practice has been termed “Pfizer Fridays.”

The public health unit said that as many as 3,000 appointments are available at Paramount on Friday, including walk-ins. Additionally, every clinic in Mississauga and Brampton has appointments available. Residents can book through the provincial booking system at covid-19.ontario.ca/book-vaccine.
