It looks like June could bring a little bit of everything across southern Ontario, with thunderstorms, sunshine and rising heat expected throughout the month as the region shifts toward summer.

According to the Farmers’ Almanac, the month is expected to begin with rain and cooler temperatures between June 1 and 8.
From June 9 to 18, thunderstorms are anticipated as warmer weather moves in before temperatures cool again.
Between June 19 and 21, conditions are forecast to turn sunny and cool.
To close out the month, June 22 to 30 could bring thunderstorms followed by sunny skies and hotter temperatures.
The Farmers’ Almanac notes that the average temperature for June is expected to be 16.5 C, which is about 1 C below seasonal norms.
Total precipitation is estimated at 110 millimetres, which is roughly 30 millimetres above average.
The outlook also suggests summer could be cooler than normal across eastern Canada and warmer in western regions, with heatwave weather expected in late June and early July.
