West Hamilton ice cream parlour opening this weekend

Who would not scream for ice cream amid the humidity in Hamilton this week?
OMG Ice Cream and Frozen Treats, which has been giving the scoop about their expansion to the Westdale neighbourhood on Instagram for a few weeks, says it will be ready to treat customers at 1047 King St. W. later this week. The opening is from 12 noon till 10 p.m. on Friday (June 24).
The Brantford-based shop has turned heads for fanciful frozen fare that includes the likes of cookie-bottom customizable cakes, ice cream sandwiches and ice cream tacos. Pickup is available at omgfrozentreats.square.site/.
The seasonal menu at OMG also includes a strawberry shortcake with locally sourced berries.
The new shop is between Chung Chun and OneZo Tapioca on the south side of King West, between Paisley Avenue and Sterling Street. It is the third location overall for OMG, along with two in Brantford.
