When Welland’s Jasmine Milley checked her LOTTO MAX ticket from the June 22 draw, she must have fought the urge to pinch herself.

She wasn’t 100 per cent sure she was awake. Not surprising since Milley, 30, won $500,000, splitting a $1 million MAXMILLIONS prize with another ticket.

“I logged into my (OLG) account and thought I was dreaming,” she recalled.

“I saw the prize amount and was so confused. I thought there is no way this is real. I messaged my dad and it took him some time to process it too!”

She also recouped the cost of her ticket by collecting another $8 on Encore, leaving her with a total of $500,008.

Milley plans to save her winnings for her future, put some aside for travel, buy a new gaming set up and decorate her home.

But for someone who says she only plays occasionally, she was succinct when it came to the feeling of walking away with a half million dollars.

“This feels bizarre and surreal!”

The winning ticket was purchased on OLG.ca.
