Welland firefighters jump onto the Star Wars Day bandwagon

Just as St. Catharines Public Library did earlier in the day, the Welland Fire Department managed to work Star Wars Day, May the 4th – as in “May the Fourth be with you” – into a Twitter post.
While the library’s had Baby Yoda checking out books (a Star Wars encyclopedia) at the Central Branch, the Welland fire crew amped it up a notch, first acknowledging that May 4 is also International Firefighters Day.
However, it didn’t end there as a full-on Star Wars battled raged around the Welland firefighter in the 34 second clip.
They also cleverly noted, “Always remember what Jedi Master Yoda would say. ‘Test your smoke alarms, you must. Safer if you do, your family will be’.”
Here’s the cinematic masterpiece put together by the Welland Fire Department, who are notorious for mixing serious messages with a lot of fun.
