Welland Canal bridge closed for maintenance over two days

The Allanburg Bridge in Thorold (also Welland Canal Bridge 11) will be shut down November 24 and 25 for routine maintenance.
The Allanburg Bridge – also known as Bridge 11 in the Welland Canal – will be closed today and tomorrow (November 24-25) from 9 am to 4 pm for routine maintenance.
The City of Thorold is telling drivers and pedestrians to use the tunnel between Highways 406 and 140, to the south, or Thorold Stone Road to the north.
The maintenance is expected to be fully completed by the weekend.
