Weekly yard waste collection to begin in October for Mississauga and Brampton

The Region of Peel has announced it will be implementing weekly yard waste collection starting in October.
As of Monday (October 4), residents of Brampton and Mississauga will be able to leave their yard waste at the curb for collection every week until December 10.
Yard waste will only be collected if it’s in the approved containers—either a Kraft brown paper bag, or any bin or container clearly labeled “yard waste” with a marker or sticker.
Additionally, only accepted materials, including leaves and yard raking’s with debris; tree trimmings, branches, brush, and hedge trimmings; household and garden plants; and Halloween pumpkins, will be collected.
