It’s been a slow and meandering start to summer, with chillier temperatures and rain dominating the forecast, but hot temperatures appear to be on the way as we move into July.
According to Environment and Climate Change Canada, Toronto and southern Ontario residents and visitors can expect a cloudier (but milder) Friday, with a mix of sun and clouds (and rising temperatures) on Saturday and Sunday.
On Friday, June 26, cloudy weather with a high of 24 C is expected in Toronto, Mississauga, Brampton and Niagara Falls. In Oakville and Burlington, temperatures will sit at 22 C and in Hamilton and Oshawa, a high of 25 C is forecast.
Temperatures could fall to about 15 degrees at night.
On Saturday, June 27, temperatures are expected to reach 25 C in Toronto, Mississauga, Brampton, Halton, Durham, and Niagara Falls. In Hamilton, temperatures will reach 24 C.
Things warm up more on Sunday, June 28 when temperatures reach 28 C in Toronto, Mississauga, Brampton, Burlington, and Oakville. Temperatures will hit 27 C in Hamilton, Oshawa and Niagara Falls, according to ECCC.
Temperatures of up to and over 30 degrees are anticipated next week.
