It’s all aboard as Metrolinx is preparing to kick off weekend GO Train service between Brampton and Toronto.

Starting on Saturday (April 8), Metrolinx will have trains running between Brampton and Toronto on weekends. The new, two-way weekend GO Train service is part of the Kitchener Line with service running hourly in both directions between the Mount Pleasant GO station in Brampton and Union Station in Toronto.

Metrolinx says the new rail service will replace the existing weekend GO Bus on route 31 but won’t service the Etobicoke North GO station.

The first eastbound trip will depart the Mount Pleasant GO station at 7:49 a.m. and the last trip will depart at 10:49 p.m. On the Toronto end, the first westbound trip will depart Union Station at 8:51 a.m. and the last trip will depart at 11:51 p.m.

Metrolinx says there will also be new weekend GO Buses servicing Waterloo, Kitchener, and Guelph and will connect with GO Trains at Mount Pleasant and Bramalea GO Stations.

Additional changes are also coming to weekday service on the Kitchener Line including one additional express trip from the Kitchener GO station at 8:08 a.m. and an additional trip will depart Bramalea GO at 9:22 a.m., making all stops to Union Station
