WeatherTech 200 highlights Sprint Series events at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park in Clarington

Canada’s national stock car championship highlights this weekend’s Labour Day Weekend Sprints event at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park in Clarington.

The WeatherTech 200 (NASCAR Pinty’s Series), featuring some of the country’s greatest drivers, is the showcase event but there will be four other road racing series to round out the three-day weekend schedule: the Nissan Sentra Cup, Sports Car Championship Canada presented by Michelin, Emzone Radical Cup Canada presented by Michelin and the Toyo Tires F1600 Championship.

The WeatherTech 200 is the penultimate race on the series schedule, with Kevin Lacroix (Dodge) holding a slim lead on Marc-Antoine Camirand (Chevrolet) in the standings, with fellow Canadians and former Indy drivers Andrew Ranger and Alex Tagliani and L.P. Dumoulin, the defending series champion, also in the running.

The weekend’s main attraction is the on-track competition, but there are plenty of other things for you to see and do as well.  You can visit the team paddock areas, located on the circuit infield at the north end near the start/finish straight where all the team transporters, cars, crews and drivers are based. Access to the paddock is included with your event ticket purchase.

Bring your marker, autograph book, and camera because you’ll have excellent opportunities to meet and speak with the drivers.

Advanced Discount Tickets – available until August 31 – are $60 per person for Weekend Super Tickets and $40 per person for Race Day Sunday Tickets.

General Camping is $50 (tent or pop-up trailer) and $70 for RV’s (or hard-bodied trailers)

You can add $20 to the ticket prices after August 31 and $10 to the camping prices.

Single-day tickets are $30 on Saturday and $45 on Sunday

Children 16 and under are free when accompanied by a paying adult

*For Saturday single day admissions, guests will be required to purchase both a Saturday and Sunday single day ticket up front at the gate upon arrival.  Upon exiting the facility on Saturday, any remaining unused single day Sunday tickets will be refunded to you up to an hour after the final on-track event.
