Environment Canada says dense fog has reduced visibility to near zero in some areas, creating dangerous driving conditions across the City of Hamilton, St. Catharines, Grimsby, the Northern Niagara Region, Brantford and the County of Brant.

The national weather agency says the fog is expected to gradually dissipate later this morning, but until then, visibility could be suddenly reduced at times.
Motorists are being urged to slow down, use low-beam headlights, leave extra space between vehicles and allow additional time to reach their destination.
Conditions are expected to improve as the fog lifts later this morning.
