Weather warning in effect in Mississauga, Brampton, Milton and Halton Hills

The first weekend of summer is going to be a wet one in Mississauga, Brampton, Milton and Halton Hills.

There is a rainfall warning in effect in these areas.

The rain, at times, will be very heavy.

There will be localized heavy rainfall with 50 to 75 mm possibly ending this evening.

Heavy showers have begun and are expected to continue on and off throughout the day. These showers are very slow-moving, and some areas may receive significant rainfall amounts.

Heavy downpours can cause flash floods and water pooling on roads. Localized flooding in low-lying areas is possible.
