Weather March 19: Flurries, strong winds and cold temperatures in southern Ontario

Cloudy skies, a few flurries throughout the day, a brisk wind and a very chilly morning is in the forecast for Tuesday as winter announces she is not done with us quite yet.

Flurries will begin in the morning and end in the afternoon with a 30 percent chance of flurries later in the day, with some (2 cm) accumulation expected in Durham Region.

The winds will be 20 km/hr, gusting to 40 km/hr in Mississauga, Brampton, Milton and Halton Hills and on the other side of Toronto in Durham Region. Winds will be gusting up to 50 km/hr in Oakville and Burlington and up to 60 km/hr in Hamilton.

The high will be plus 1 in Peel, Durham, Toronto and Hamilton and two degrees in Oakville and Burlington.

The low with windchill will be minus 8 in Peel and Halton regions, and minus 9 in Hamilton, Toronto and Durham Region.

Overnight lows will hit -9 in Hamilton and in Durham, -8 in Halton Region, minus 7 in Toronto and a positively balmy -6 in Mississauga and Brampton.
