The rain and the wind have led to the cancellation of some events in Burlington tonight (July 10).

Due to the rain, LaSalle Wading Pool and Splash Park will be closed for the rest of today.

As well, the Access Storage Concert at Central Park is cancelled. View the concert schedule at burlington.ca/concerts.

The City of Burlington has determined that the rain has made use of some baseball fields unplayable.

Due to field conditions, the following baseball diamonds are closed today:

  • Ireland Park – D1, D2, D3
  • Millcroft Park – D1, D2, D3
  • Brant Hills D1, D2, D3
  • Nelson Park – Casey Cosgrove Baseball Field

All other ball diamonds and sport fields remain open.

“If you see puddles of water on the surface of any fields or sponging around your feet, please stay off the fields,” the city cautions. “This will help us keep the fields in good playing condition.”
