Ontario, Mississauga, Environment Canada, weather, forecast, rain, showers, thunderstorms, cloudy

There will be plenty of rain to wake up to Thursday, with the risk of a thunderstorm in the afternoon all across the GTA.

Cooler temperatures – a high of 16 C in Mississauga and Brampton; 14 in Halton Region; 16 in Hamilton and 15 in Durham Region – and high winds gusting to 60 km/hr near lunchtime will also make an impact on Thursday’s unsettled weather.

As much as 15 mm of rain will fall on most of the region, with Hamilton seeing up to 25 millimetres of precipitation.

The rain is expected to continue through the evening, with another 10-15 mm falling and another risk of thunderstorms, along with continued high winds and low of just ten degrees.

Friday’s weather will see cloudy skies, more showers and lows just above freezing as the area experiences a bout of ‘false spring.’
