Weather alert issued for freezing rain in Mississauga, Brampton and Hamilton

Freezing rain is expected in Mississauga, Brampton, Hamilton and many parts of southern Ontario.
Environment Canada issued the alert this morning (March 31).
“Brief freezing rain possible this morning,” the alert states.
This could cause driving hazards with slippery surfaces.
Precipitation is advancing into southern Ontario this morning, but may begin as a brief period of freezing rain as temperatures are near or just below the freezing mark, the alert states.
The threat of freezing rain should end by the afternoon as temperatures rise above the freezing mark.
