A frost alert has been issued for the Greater Toronto Area and much of southern Ontario.
Environment Canada says patchy frost is expected overnight and on Thursday morning in Toronto, Mississauga and Brampton as temperatures drop to near or below freezing.
The alert stretches from the Belleville area in the east to London in the west, bypassing Hamilton and Niagara Falls.
“Damage to plants, trees, and crops is possible,” the weather agency says. “Cover up plants, especially those in frost-prone areas.”
