Weather advisory to continue overnight in southern Ontario

Environment Canada’s Christmas Eve fog advisory has extended into Boxing Day and is anticipated to persist tonight through Wednesday morning (Dec. 27).
As of 3:40 p.m. Dec, 26 there is a fog advisory in:
- Mississauga
- Brampton
- Hamilton
- Oakville
- Burlington
- Milton
- Halton Hills
- Niagara Region
According to Environment Canada, some areas along the Niagara Escarpment may experience lingering fog tonight and tomorrow causing significant and sudden reductions in visibility— possibly near zero.
“Travel conditions are expected to be hazardous, and drivers are advised to slow down, watch for tail lights ahead, and be prepared to stop in case of reduced visibility,” the statement read.
