A waterfront park in Mississauga is getting some much-needed work before the summer season.

JJ Plaus Park, next to the Port Credit Harbour Marina, will get some improvements this spring, according to a post from Ward 1 Councillor Stephen Dasko.

The concrete promenade will be repaired, parts of the finger pier boardwalk will be replaced and safety ladders along the sea wall will also be replaced.

Just next to the park, the Port Credit Harbour Marina is up for much larger changes as plans for a new, full-service and modern marina are in the works. But this project is still likely years away.

The lifecycle upkeep project for J.J. Plaus was part of the 2021 budget and it received federal funding from the ICIP: COVID Stream – Local Government Intake, Coun. Dasko noted.

Contractors have been selected and work is slated to start this spring. If all goes well it is expected to be finished before summer.

The highlighted areas in the photo below shows where the work for the JJ Plaus Construction project will be done.
