The Town of Milton has advised the community that due to ongoing water main construction, a road closure on Bronte St. North will be in effect longer than anticipated.

The Town of Milton’s project for the reconstruction of Bronte St. North from Main St. to Steeles Ave. is currently underway.

As a result, a temporary closure of Bronte St. North, from north of Sixteen Mile Creek to south of Sixteen Mile Creek has been in effect since January to facilitate this work.

While construction timelines are dependent on many factors such as weather, the closure, which was initially set to end on Mar. 5, has been extended to Mar. 10, 2022.

Drivers may use Main St. West, Tremaine Rd. and Steeles Ave. as alternative routes.

Another closure on Bronte St. North, north of the CPR tracks, will take place from Mar. 14 to Apr. 24, 2022.

Main St. West, Tremaine Rd. and Steeles Ave. may be used as alternative routes.

Additionally, residents may view all road closures through the Town’s interactive road closure map.
