A second severe water main break has closed roads in Mississauga.
This second incident is in Meadowvale and follows a water main break that caused flooding leaving drivers stranded on Lakeshore Road yesterday (Jan. 5).
This severe water main break has closed a portion of McLaughlin Road between Rothschild Trail and Courtney Park Drive, just north of Hwy. 401, Peel Regional Police said in a tweet.

The water main break was reported at 7:20 a.m. on Friday (Jan. 6).
A crew is on scene working but it is not known how long the road will be closed.
Police say drivers will need to use alternative routes.
Update: McLaughlin Road reopened around 1:30 p.m. on Friday (Jan. 6), police said in a tweet.
The flooding on Lakeshore Road trapped two drivers with one climbing on the roof of his vehicle around 4:30 p.m. yesterday.
Lakeshore Road between Ibar Way and Lorne Park Road remains closed today until around 5 p.m. due to sink holes.
