In March, members of the Raptors 905 basketball squad turned-out for some volunteer work at the Mississauga Food Bank.
The Mississauga-based Raptors 905, who play out of the Paramount Fine Foods Centre, compete in the NBA G League and are affiliated with the Toronto Raptors of the National Basketball Association.
The Mississauga Food Bank is the central food bank in the city that distributes food to those in need across the city.
The Food Bank distributes food through a network over 50 agencies including neighbourhood food banks, pantries, mean and snack programs and other emergency food programs.
Last month, our team volunteered at the Mississauga Food Bank where they were able to give back to the community.
They sorted 6,985 pounds of food which will provide 7,510 meals!#RoadToTheSix pic.twitter.com/kigKpweFop
