Warrant issued for man wanted in Mississauga sexual assault case

Peel Regional Police’s Special Victims Unit has identified a man wanted in a sexual assault investigation in Mississauga last November.

A 23-year-old woman told police she had been sexually assaulted at a Mississauga house party November 26. With the community’s help police were able to identify 22-year-old Jelani ‘Huncho’ Dejonge of Toronto and have issued a warrant for his arrest.

Dejonge is described as Black, 5’8” with a thin build and a distinctive tattoo on his left hand. He is known to frequent Scarborough and Mississauga.

Dejonge is also currently wanted on a separate arrest warrant for failing to appear in court on another matter.
