WANTED: 2 suspects ‘armed and dangerous’ at large after fatal shooting in Niagara Falls

Two people are wanted on second-degree murder charges in connection with a fatal shooting that took place in Niagara Falls earlier this week, police say.

In an update on Sunday, Niagara Regional Police said that 23-year-old Maroof Bangi and 30-year-old Josta Grace MacNeal are wanted in the death of 35-year-old Mitchell Snoddon of Niagara Falls.

Investigators allege the pair could be travelling in a black 2021 Mazda CX-5 with Ontario licence plate DDEC 744.

Police say the suspects should not be approached. Anyone who sees them is urged to call 911. Additionally, investigators said no firearm has been recovered and Bangi and MacNeal are considered armed and dangerous.

The shooting happened shortly before 9 p.m. on Thursday at a home on Thorold Stone Road near Dorchester Road.

Police believe the incident was targeted and allege the suspects went to the home, shot Snoddon with a handgun and fled the area. The victim was taken to hospital, where he later died.

Police had previously released surveillance images of the suspects and said the individuals fled in a white 2022 to 2026 Nissan Rogue SUV. Investigators have since recovered the vehicle and thanked members of the public for their assistance.
