Walmart pulls t-shirt with hidden vulgarity from store shelves

Walmart has apologized to customers for a t-shirt hiding a vulgar word and pulled the shirt from shelves.

The environmental t-shirt tells readers to Recycle, Reuse, Renew, and Rethink with the word stacked on top of each other. The letters after “Re” line up vertically to spell a vulgar word.

The $5 George brand shirt gained notoriety in a now-viral Twitter post where the user said, “I need this shirt before Walmart realizes what they have done. Find the hidden word.”

The post spread like wildfire across the internet garnering tens of thousands of like. Most responses were very enthusiastic about the shirt with most demanding to know where they could get their own.

However, the shirt was only available for a brief time and only in Canada. Walmart has since pulled the vulgari-t shirt from store shelves and has apologized.
