Hamilton youth who are between the ages of 12 and 17 will be able to attend a mobile COVID-19 vaccine clinic without an appointment.

Beginning Thursday (July 1), youth who have not yet received their first dose can attend the mobile clinic located at Bernie Morelli Recreation Centre on Cannon St. East. The clinic will be open from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.

“Hamilton’s vaccine strategy for young people is comprehensive to ensure all young people 12 to 17 years of age who want a vaccine, can do so in a location that can meet their needs,” said Hamilton Public Health.

To date, 58.1 per cent of the local youth have received a first dose of the vaccine. Meanwhile, 73.5 per cent of adults in Hamilton have received their first dose and 33.4 per cent are fully vaccinated.

Approximately 531,000 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine have been administered.
