East Meats West on Cawthra and Queensway is a small family-owned and operated Halal meat products store and takeout restaurant. Just so we’re clear, they are not a butcher shop nor a dine-in restaurant. Instead, this spot sources and processes Halal meats in-house to offer customers over 35 unique products, including sausages, lunch meats, burgers, and much more. More recently, they have expanded their offering to include takeout sandwiches.

I grabbed their Large Pastrami Sandwich ($12) as well as a small Montreal Smoked Meat Sandwich ($8) and they were both delicious! Both sandwiches were loaded with flavourful meat and there was a perfect amount of sauce in each.
