Reports indicate the incident happened around 10 a.m. when a stolen white pickup truck entered the Metro plaza at Louis St. Laurent Ave. and Thompson Rd. S.

In the video, it appears the truck hits an SUV. Two men then get out of the truck and run to the SUV, then one of the suspects breaks the driver’s side window, strikes a woman and pulls her out of the vehicle while the other culprit jumps into the passenger seat.

The pair then speed away in the stolen SUV leaving the woman injured on the pavement of the parking lot.

According to Halton Regional Police, details of the incident are sketchy at this time, but it’s confirmed the Robbery Unit is investigating the incident.

Some accounts on social media say the white pickup truck was involved in a high-speed chase by police on Derry Rd. before entering the plaza.

Police, however, told inhalton.com there is no indication that any police vehicles were involved in a chase.
