A video posted online appears to show the moment a truck smashed into vehicle on an Ontario highway earlier this week.
It happened in the southbound lanes of Highway 400 at Highway 7 on Monday.
Ontario Provincial Police Sgt. Kerry Schmidt said that traffic was slowing and a vehicle was rear-ended by a tow-truck.
Despite that vehicle suffering severe damage, the driver, who was airlifted to hospital, didn’t sustain serious injuries, Schmidt said.

A pickup truck carrying salt was also struck in the collision, he said.
The crash prompted the closure of the southbound express lanes of Highway 400.
“Driver has been charged and investigation is ongoing,” Schmidt told INsauga.com on Thursday.
