VIDEO: Transport truck heads in wrong direction on 400-series Ontario highway

The Ontario Provincial Police have arrested and charged a London, Ont. man after a transport truck was observed driving in the worng direction on an Ontario highway.

Video footage shows the truck speeding southbound on the shoulder of lanes meant for northbound traffic on Highway 410 in Brampton late one night this week.

The video clip shows the truck passing by the Williams Parkway exit in Brampton.

According to the OPP, the truck was also spotted heading in the wrong direction on Highway 403 in Mississauga.

Although the vehicle appears to be travelling at high speed, drivers heading in the proper direction managed to stay out of danger. No collisions or injuries were reported.

The 42-year-old driver has been charged with dangerous driving.

Police have not released the identity of the person charged.
