VIDEO: That new Niagara Falls burger place with the funny initials serving up some ‘smashing’ food

It was only a matter a time before some business appropriated those three initials but in this case, it stands for “We The Finest” Burger Company.
And We The Finest doesn’t just grill a great burger, they smash ’em. In fact, the name for that grilling technique is actually called “smash burgers,” a cooking style that’s become popular in the last year or so.
Smash burgers are minced beef and salt, smashed flat over a searing hot flat-grill until the end result is a crispy, craggy-edged, asymmetric, cooked-through patty that’s juicy, caramelized and beefy.
When the burger place opened in Niagara Falls last month at 3643 Portage Road in the Town & Country Plaza, it was inevitable that Mayor Jim Diodati would show up for the ribbon-cutting Grand Opening – and yes, help himself to a smash burger.
“We The Finest has set themselves apart from the rest with their incredible hand crafted burgers,” said Diodati enthusiastically.
“Their team grinds the brisket & chuck meat fresh in-house twice, sometimes three times a day, to make their smash burgers which delectably lock in all the juices and flavours.”

“From homemade sauces (including their bacon onion jam), house-pickled cucumbers & jalapeños, tater tots & burgers served on famous Martin’s potato roll buns, they’ve got all the goods,” raved Diodati “The team does it fast, fresh and hot and believe me, your taste-buds will thank you!”
The company website declares, “We dish out the baddest burgers because WTF! Our squad digs the biggest and baddest burgers. We want to share the love we have for the patty and the bun with the juiciest, meatiest, most flavourful, sauced-up burgers and fries.”
Diodati wasn’t the only one raving – on Facebook reviews give it a 4.9/5 while the Google reviews so far has given it a 4.6/5 rating (still exceptionally high) and the comments are glowing.
“The best burger I have had in the region to date!” said one. “These burgers melt in your mouth and hit all the right spots. I leave this place feeling mentally and physically satisfied whenever I go.”
“I had the Oklahoma Onion Burger. It was phenomenal. The sauce they use is sooooo good,” said another. “You can taste the quality of the meat too. I just can’t say enough. It really is that good. I’d eat these every day if I could (or my waistline could handle it).”
One five-star reviewers said, “Melt in your mouth smash burgers! Definitely the best place to get a burger in town hands down. Also, the tater tots were seasoned so perfectly everything was incredible!”
