Videos are circulating of a large fight that broke out in a Mississauga plaza Sunday night.

One video show posted to Twitter shows men punching and shouting at each other in what appears to be the new Erin Mills Centre at at Eglinton Avenue West and Ridgeway Drive on Sunday (Aug. 13).

The plaza is already getting a reputation for garbage, noise and poor traffic control. Mississauga Ward 8 Councillor Matt Mahoney is trying to work on those issues with the shop owners.

The fight appears to involve dozens of men or teens while a larger crowd is gathered around. Someone yells “That’s my son!” during the fight.

And then sirens are heard. Peel Regional Police officers arrive and break up the crowd. Several officers push through the crowds. One officer yells “No, it’s not fine, move. Clear out.”

A Peel Regional Police spokesperson tells insauga.com they did respond to a call for a “dangerous condition” around 10 p.m. on Aug. 13 at Eglinton Avenue West and Ridgeway Drive.

Police said they found a large crowd in the parking lot of the plaza, which may have gathered for a car meet. The crowd dispersed shortly after police arrival.

There were no reports of serious injuries, police said.

The spokesperson said there were no arrests but another video on TikTok appears to show at least one person being handcuffed at the same scene.
