Video: several Bowmanville businesses spray painted with hate symbols and offensive language

Police are investigating after hate symbols and offensive language was spray painted in Bowmanville.

Durham Regional Police Service say they are looking for help to identify a suspect or suspects after several incidents of graffiti were reported on commercial properties in Bowmanville.

The person or people sprayed the commercial properties sometime after 11:3o p.m. on Monday, Aug. 13, police said. The “offensive language and symbols” were found along Baseline Road, east of Liberty Street South.

The symbols appear to be Nazi swastikas and the vandal wrote “f**k Trudeau on a fence on Baseline Road, Durham Police confirmed with indurham.

A video on Twitter shows the damage done.

There are no suspect descriptions at this time, however, investigators are looking for any video surveillance in the area that may assist with this investigation.
