VIDEO: Serious crash causes massive power outage in Mississauga

A single-vehicle collision in Mississauga has resulted in a massive power outage this afternoon (Apr. 24).
The vehicle crashed into a traffic light at the intersection of Derry Rd and Tenth Line, with the traffic light falling onto power lines.
Serious damage was done to the vehicle, but no injuries have been reported at this time.
Alectra confirmed that approximately 2,596 homes and businesses are currently without power in the area.

Crews have been dispatched to make repairs, and power is estimated to return by 9:00 p.m.
