A person was hit with a pistol in a terrifying home invasion in an Ontario town this week.

York Regional Police released a video of the incident with the hopes of identifying the multiple suspects involved.

Police were called to the home invasion in the area of Charlotte Abby Drive and Holland Landing Road in the Town of East Gwillimbury midnight on Wednesday (Feb. 14), York Regional Police said in a press release today (Feb. 15).

A resident of the home told police that several men broke into the residence armed with guns, police said.

“A suspect pistol whipped one of the victims while demanding money,” the press release stated.

The men took various valuables belonging to the residents and then fled in a light-coloured vehicle.

The male victim was treated by York Region Paramedic Services for minor injuries. No one else was injured, police said.

The suspects are described as males, wearing masks, dark clothing and hoodies.

The video (below) shows two people in the home along with a dog attempting to hide as the men in black rush into the home holding guns.

Investigators would like to speak to anyone with video surveillance or dashcam footage in the area at the time of the incident.
