Video: QEW crash leaves 2 people trapped with serious injuries in Mississauga

Two people were rushed to hospital with serious injuries after the car they were travelling in lost control on the QEW and rolled over into a ditch in west Mississauga this morning (Feb. 19).

OPP say the single-vehicle crash, which took place in the westbound lanes between Mississauga Rd. and Erin Mills Pkwy. at about 9:30 a.m., left the two occupants trapped inside the car for a period of time.

After Mississauga firefighters removed them from the vehicle, they were taken to separate hospitals, police say.

The far right lane on the westbound QEW in the area of the crash was blocked off for the police investigation, but the other two lanes remained open.
