Video: Motorcyclist does ‘wheelie’ on Highway 410 between Mississauga and Brampton

A motorcyclist spotted travelling on Highway 410 between Mississauga and Brampton one night earlier this week doesn’t appear to have learned that two wheels on the pavement are much safer than one.

The person on the bike was captured on video performing a dangerous and illegal “wheelie” maneuver on the far right side of the busy highway near Steeles Avenue before seconds later changing lanes to the left with the front wheel still in the air and the motorcycle travelling at a high rate of speed.

The 18-second video (see below), taken from another vehicle travelling in the same direction and posted to X (formerly Twitter), appears to then show the bike’s front tire lowered to the road near the end of the footage.

OPP have noted in the past that such an illegal maneuver is not only highly dangerous and puts lives at risk, but it also carries with it a heavy penalty.

One commenter on the post predicted that, “I’ll bet he doesn’t live to see his 30th birthday.”

Another wrote: “Just a show-off. I used to have a guy on my street that used to do that every time he left home…until he finally flipped over backwards.”
