Mississauga’s own Bianca Andreescu was just on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

After her big win, Andreescu has been on a media tour, stopping by Fallon’s show.

In the four-minute interview, Andreescu talks about her record-breaking win over Serena Williams for the US Open Championship, her fellow Canadian stars who reached out to her after the win – and those who did not – and teaches Fallon how to flip a racket.

People can watch the interview, here:

Andreescu took to Twitter to share her excitement about the interview.

On September 7, Andreescu was crowned the champion of the US Open 2019 Women’s Singles, having beaten Serena Williams in finals this afternoon. She’s the very first Canadian to win women’s singles at the US Open since its start in 1968.

The Mississauga native took the first set 6-3 and the second set 7-5 to eventually land her the win.

Insauga.com chatted with Andreescu a few months ago about her successful career as a tennis champ, and it looks like that career is continuing strong.
