Police are looking for a man who spat on a Tim Hortons employee in a hate-motivated assault in Mississauga.
The incident happened at the Tim Hortons on Lakeshore Road and Lakefront Promenade in Lakeview around 6 a.m. on July 19, Peel Regional Police said.
The employee was confronted by an irate customer, police said.
Police said the customer then uttered racial and derogatory slurs and spat on the employee before leaving. Fortunately, she suffered no lasting physical injuries, police said.
The video shows the man shouting at the employee and at one point he tells her to “go back to India.”
The man is described as white with a heavy build. He was wearing a dark baseball cap with an orange or red shirt with white writing that appears to say “Coca Cola”, dark pants, and light-coloured shoes.
He left the area in a white four-door Ford commercial truck with a black dump chassis at the rear, police said.
Investigators are continuing to track the vehicle on various cameras along its path until the licence plate is visible.

Police released this photo of the four-door, Ford commercial truck the man drove to the Tim Hortons.
Anyone with any information is asked to contact investigators at 905-453-2121, extension 6092. Anonymous information may also be submitted with Peel Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or visit peelcrimestoppers.ca.
