Members of the OPP are reminding drivers that if a rope is not available, the next best thing to secure your load is not an extension cord.
The driver of an electric vehicle was spotted this morning (Oct. 9) traveling northbound on Hwy. 427 near Burnhamthorpe Rd.
Members of the OPP Highway Safety Division noticed that a mattress was tied to the vehicle with questionable materials.
Upon closer inspection, officers noted that the driver was using an electrical extension cord to secure the mattress to the vehicle.
