VIDEO: Driver attempts to plow over police cruiser in Mississauga

The driver of a Ford Bronco attempted to run over a police cruiser after the vehicle was surrounded in Mississauga.
Videos circulating on social media show a red SUV attempting to drive over a Peel Regional Police cruiser after it was boxed in.
The driver was unsuccessful, the video shows, and police approached the vehicle with guns drawn.
The incident started in the area of Westwood Mall near Goreway Drive and Etude Drive on Tuesday just after 6:30 p.m., a police spokesperson told INsauga.com.
Police said officers initially responded to reports of a suspicious vehicle.
Reports indicated a person in a Ford Bronco had stolen from a store a few weeks ago and returned with weapons, police said.
Officers found a Ford Bronco at the Tim Hortons drive-thru in Westwood Mall (officially called Westwood Square), police said.
Police said the vehicle was reported stolen and officers surrounded the vehicle to stop it from fleeing.
The driver attempted to flee in the vehicle, but was unsuccessful, police said.
Police cruisers were damaged in the incident, but no injuries were reported.
Videos show a white vehicle also damaged nearby.
Ramanpreet Singh, 25, of Brampton, is charged with three counts of possession of property obtained by crime, flight from a peace officer, dangerous operation of a vehicle and obstruct a peace officer.
He was held for a bail hearing.
