Capra Kitchen Robbery Mississauga

One of Canada’s most famous chefs is offering a cash reward to anyone who can provide information related to a disturbing break-in and robbery early this morning (Aug. 9) at his popular south Mississauga restaurant.

Massimo Capra posted video surveillance footage of the overnight robbery in progress to his Instagram page today in hopes of generating information that will help Peel Regional Police bust the culprits.

The video shows two people in hoodies ransacking the inside of Capra’s Kitchen, located on Lakeshore Rd. W. in Clarkson, and collecting some items.

Capra, 62, of Mississauga, said on his post that among the items stolen were “some very personal items” belonging to his son Andrew, who died several years ago.

“Sadly, last night, Capra’s Kitchen was robbed,” Capra wrote on his post alongside the video. “After suffering the hardships of COVID, we now have to deal with this.”

He continues: “Please watch video…share video and please, if anyone has any information regarding this terrible crime, please let us or the Peel Regional Police know.”

Capra goes on to offer a cash reward for information “that helps us catch the people who did this.”

The Instagram post ends with a plea to the culprits.

“To the thief…please…if you are reading this…send back Andrew’s belongings.”
