hit and run brampton

A hit-and-run crash was captured on dash camera video in Brampton last night.

The video posted to social media shows a vehicle driving on Williams Parkway approaching the traffic lights at Pertosa Drive.

The driver then starts making a U-turn at the light but abruptly stops and gets out of the car.

It appears the driver forgot to put the vehicle in park and it rolls back into the car behind. The driver then quickly gets back in the vehicle and completes the U-turn.

The video date and time stamp reads July 2 at 10:20 p.m.

The poster said the driver was making an illegal U-turn and left the scene after the collision.

Peel Regional Police confirmed with insauga.com that they received a report of a fail-to-remain collision that happened just after 10:20 p.m. Tuesday.

The incident happened in the Williams Parkway and Bovaird Drive area of Brampton, police said.

There is no word yet on any charges.
