A car was launched over a Hwy. 401 median in Mississauga this afternoon after being rear-ended by a transport truck and sent crashing into a snow bank.
OPP, firefighters and paramedics are still on the scene of the collision, which happened at about 3 p.m. in the eastbound lanes near Dixie Rd.
Police say it’s fortunate there are no serious injuries.
An OPP officer on the scene reported that after being rear-ended by the larger vehicle in the express lanes, the car then “…crashed into the snow bank…came up and that snow bank acted as a ramp and sent (the car) right over the wall.”
The car ended up on its roof on the eastbound collector lane shoulder.
