A video of firefighters knocking down a car fire in Brampton has been making the rounds online this week with users on social media applauding first responders for keeping cool under pressure.

Ranjith R, who goes by the user name Drabbit on Reddit, says they were going past the 7-11 convenience store at the corner of Main St. North and Church St. around 7:00 p.m. on Monday (March 27) when they came across a startling scene.

Video captured by Ranjith and shared with Insauga.com shows a black car in the store parking lot with flames shooting several feet into the air from the vehicle’s engine compartment.

Moments later, a trio of Brampton Fire and Emergency Services firefighters get to work dousing the blaze as a huge plume of smoke and steam fills rises into the air.

The video was posted to Reddit with some users noting how calm and collected the first responders on the scene were during the blaze.

“I think movies have wrecked my reality for cars. Any car on fire like that must be about to explode imminently,” one user wrote.

“Let’s just calmly walk up and put this out guys. No rush. Not like it’s burning or anything,” wrote another.

A Peel Regional Police spokesperson told Insauga.com that the incident is not under investigation and had no additional details about the blaze.
