The TV show “Canada’s Got Talent” is about to take over the City of Niagara Falls once again next month.

The show’s semifinal rounds are set to be taped January 19 and 20 at the OLG Stage at Fallsview Casino Resort with two tapings daily – one at 1 pm, the second at 5 pm.

While the Canada’s Got Talent Facebook page announced yesterday (December 12) that tickets for the show were sold, it also said, “If you did not get tickets, you can still join the Rush line for tickets at the door. Arrive early as quantities will be limited!”

And the same post made it sound like some tickets are left. “Only tickets for Thursday, January 19 are left! They’re going fast, so get them before they’re gone! Go to Citytv.com to book.”

Canada’s Got Talent was, in fact, the first entertainment act announced for the new OLG Stage back in October. For last year’s taping of Season One, the crew used the 1,500-seat Avalon Theatre inside the casino resort.

Last season saw celebrity judge Howie Mandel get the Key to the City of Niagara Falls from Mayor Jim Diodati.

With four tapings and venue’s 5,000-seat capacity, some 20,000 people will descend on the Tourist Capital of Canada to watch host Lindsay Ell and the celebrity judges Howie Mandel, Lilly Singh, Trish Stratus, and Kardinal Offishall decide on who advances to the final round for the grand prize of $150,000 plus 100,000 Air Miles.

“As they compete for the Grand Prize, watch as jaw-dropping, astounding, and breathtaking talents from across Canada take the stage,” the show promises.
