Footage of a fight where one man was injured has surfaced online showing about a dozen people sparring at a parking lot takeover in Brampton.
Peel Regional Police say officers were called to the Trinity Common Plaza at Great Lakes Boulevard and Bovaird Drive in Brampton on Friday around 10 p.m. after receiving reports of a large number of vehicles “driving recklessly in the parking lot.”
A video of the meet-up shared on social media shows several men brawling in the parking lot, with a few appearing to gang up on one victim, hitting and slapping him repeatedly. Multiple people can be seen fighting in the video, and one of the victims falls to the ground before being kicked and hit by assailants.
The men continue the fight as the person holding the camera walks away from the scene.
A spokesperson for Peel police says one adult male victim was treated at the scene by first responders, but that the victim left the area and “did not wish to provide any information to investigating officers.”
Police did not say if any arrests were made or if charges are pending in relation to the parking lot takeover.

Car rallies and takeovers are on the rise in Brampton with Peel police there have been at least a dozen similar events in the city following a crackdown on rallies in nearby Vaughan.
Peel police officers were called to 21 different car rallies in Brampton between May 29 and June 24, with PRP Road Safety Services telling Brampton City Council some of the rallies had participants using fireworks and gasoline to “excite and encourage unruly behaviour.”
Since May, Peel police have laid dozens of charges related to car rallies and seized nearly 120 vehicles.
Vaughan’s new maximum fine for participating in an unauthorized car rally is $10,000, and attendees can also receive administrative penalties of $1,000 for a first offence and $2,000 for each following offence, and the city is looking to toughen its special events and noise bylaws to see if similar measures can be brought to Brampton.
