VIDEO: Watch as police helicopter tracks down Ajax crime suspect

Air1, the police helicopter, assisted uniformed officers in locating a suspect who fled from an overnight theft at a construction site in Ajax.
Just before one a.m. officers from Durham Police’s West Division were advised of a theft in progress at a construction site on Bayly Street East. Police quickly responded and located a female suspect and a pickup truck that contained stolen wood from the site. Two men fled on foot.
Air1 located a male attempting to hide in some residential backyards on Whitefoot Crescent. With assistance of the K-9 Unit, the suspect was taken into custody. Police continue to look for a third suspect.
Dana Booth, 22, of Oshawa, is charged with theft under $5,000.
Keith Patterson, 35, of Toronto, is charged with theft under $5,000; obstruct peace officer and trespassing at night.
They were both released on Undertakings.
