VIDEO: 3 car accident sends several to hospital, closes major streets in Mississauga

A three-vehicle crash has sent multiple people to the hospital and shut down a major intersection.
The three cars collided at the intersection of Derry and Agentia Roads, just off Highway 401.
This occurred around 8:30 p.m. on March 28.
The cars appear to be three crossovers, all of which suffered major damage to their front ends. Witnesses at the scene described the crash as the result of a street race. One car was on fire for a time according to witnesses.
The crash sent multiple patients to hospital, one of whom is in serious condition. Though their injuries are serious, no one is in life-threatening condition. Peel Regional Police have not specified how many were hurt.

While the images show only two affected cars, police have confirmed a third was also involved. All three remained on scene. The two pictured suffered major damage to their front ends.
The crash has shuttered the westbound lane on Derry Road from Argentia Road and obstructed part of the eastbound lanes. As such drivers should avoid the area until further notice.
